An inconvenient walk

The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. (John 10:12)

Jesus owns the sheep.

He is the Creator.

The Shepherd.

Jesus wants His church back.

He wants His people to know Him, directly and personally.

Not through someone else.

Especially clever people masquerading as shepherds.

Trying to usurp His mandate.

To steal them from Him.

Yet have no love or passion for them.

They are not willing to lay their lives down.

It is calculated and costed.

However He paid the price in full, on the cross.

Once and for all.

Serve Him not an institution.

Serve His purposes not someone else’s.

His is eternal.

For all the sheep.

Not just the chosen few.

Gather around Him.

Not around the alter of despair.

He has the solutions your needs.

He has the answers to the questions.

Every answer to every need.

There is no despair in Him.

He is hope personified.

You will see His glory shine brighter than the sun.

If you have been given responsibility, do not fleece the sheep.

The Shepherd will not be pleased.

Serve Him by loving unconditionally.

Love others deeply and sincerely.

Whether convenient or not.

The cross was not convenient.

And neither will your walk with Him
