The Happy Coder

This is a special interest group for those who either know nothing about coding and are interested in finding out, learning to code and have fun making or creating things. It is also for the seasoned and experienced coder who wants to meet with like minded people in an informal setting. The vision is to bring people together to share ideas, to create and make but above to develop friendship and team work.There is no minimum skill set or level experience required, any age, any gender. It is free, tea and coffee will be provided. This group is promoted by Presence Church in Harrogate but it is open to all whether you go to this church or not, or don’t regularly attend any church.

Making stuff

This is where you can learn to code making LEDs blink on and off, make motors turn, take temperature readings. The natural progression is to the Internet of Things (IoT) and robotics.

Web Design

Web Design or web developer is a continually growing industry. You can make your own website with or without the need to learn how to code. The three main code languages to learn are HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Computer Games

Making computer games has never been so accessible. There is plenty of free software for you to make your own computer games either 3D or 2D. you may just want to come and share your views on computer games. Either way you are welcome.

Digital

This is an area that includes Social Media, making films, animation etc. If this is your thing then come along and see who you could team up with to learn more or make your own YouTube channel.
