Luke 10: 1-12
1 After this, the Lord Jesus formed thirty-five teams among the other disciples. Each team was two disciples, seventy in all, and he commissioned them to go ahead of him into every town he was about to visit. (from “Luke and Acts: To the Lovers of God (The Passion Translation)” by Brian Simmons)
It is interesting that Jesus sent them out ahead of Him, rather than them tagging along behind. They went ahead of Him, almost to herald His coming, to prepare the way. In the same way He wants us to herald His coming. We are to prepare ourselves (He prepares us). Before this event He had sent the disciples out on a field trip, a mini mission (see Luke chapter 9).
Prepare yourself for His coming, and I don’t mean the end days but to Harrogate, to this nation and beyond. Let His presence fill Harrogate but we have to be ready, be prepared, in spirit, mind and body. Give Him the affection and devotion He deserves. He is passionate about you whatever you feel to the contrary.
