As Jesus and His disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to Him. (Luke 10v38 NIV)
Notice that it is Martha opened her home not Mary.
It was Martha who invited Him in.
You too need to open your heart to Him.
When you open your heart to Him you welcome Him in, He doesn’t gatecrash your life.
Although it can feel like it sometimes.
Invite Him.
Make Him welcome.
As good hosts, everything that is yours is His.
Be a friend to Jesus and anyone else He calls His friend.
Are you a welcome place for Him or do you want to keep Him at a safe distance?
Do you keep Him on the outside, so you can pop out to speak to Him when you need to?
Ask Him in.
Ask Him into every part of your life.
Let every corner of your heart be accessible to Him.
Give Him everything and that means the very core of your being.
Allow Him to heal all the areas of your heart.
Let Him influence your ambitions, desires and dreams.
Allow Him to reveal His own dreams and desires for you.
He will never crush you.
Remember He was crucified for you.
Your drive for self determination needs to be crucified.
Your whole heart was made for Him.
Give Him what He is already entitled to.
